National Representation
AIGP publishes selection opportunities, eligibility notes, results, and representative announcements for Indian players at international Go events.
How selection should work
When AIGP receives an invitation or creates a national pathway, the selection information should be published as a News report or Event entry before the selection activity begins. It should name the event, available seats, eligibility rules, registration deadline, tournament format, time controls, tie-breaks, appeals process, and the contact person for questions.
- Selection tournaments should use clearly announced rules before play begins.
- Eligibility criteria and registration deadlines should be visible before registration closes.
- Pairings, results, withdrawals, disputes, and tie-breaks should be recorded for future audit.
- Final representative announcements should be published in News or Events and added to the representative register.
Baseline Requirements
Each international event may add its own rules. These are the baseline expectations AIGP should make visible when opening a pathway.
Host Event Rules
Players may need to satisfy nationality, residency, age, passport, federation, amateur/professional, or rating requirements set by the event host.
Active Player Record
Ratings, previous results, contact details, availability, and AIGP registration status may be used to verify participation.
Representative Conduct
Representatives are expected to follow AIGP conduct rules, host event rules, fair-play expectations, and communication deadlines.
What Should Be Published
A transparent pathway should leave enough public record for players, parents, hosts, and future organizers to understand the outcome.
Before
Invitation details, seats available, eligibility, entry process, deadline, organizer contact, rules, and schedule.
During
Pairings, results, tie-break standings, forfeits, withdrawals, and any official rulings that affect selection.
After
Representative names, event links, source News report or Event entry, final standings, and later event reports where available.
International Events AIGP Tracks
Past AIGP News reports and Event entries include representative selections for events such as the Korean Prime Minister's Cup and Asian amateur championship pathways. New invitations should be announced through News or Events.
